KiwiCo Subscription January

This is a first for my blog! I'm writing this post all about the KiwiCo subscription box. For everyone who doesn't know what this company is (I didn't until a few weeks ago) go check it out now! https://www.kiwico.com It is a subscription company for kids; they send your child age appropriate activities that you can do together. I saw another mom post about it with a free trial code so I thought I'd give it a try and I am pleasantly surprised at how much me and the girls loved their boxes! Full disclosure: we have not even finished the boxes yet! I am writing this post after only doing a few of the activities, because I loved them that much! I'm sure I'll write a separate blog after we finish the next two activities. First up: the Koala crate. This crate is designed for 3-4 year olds. It includes all the materials needed for the actives, with easy to follow instructions, a parents guide (filled with tips and tricks for learning), Imagine magazine (a

Week 5

Week 5 Days 28-34 Full Disclosure: I missed two days of shooting this week, I was a week behind on my blog (last weeks blog literally has no text in it), and edited 3 days of photos in one day; life happens. This project isn't for me to be perfect, but for me to grow. And I can already see a difference in the 5 short weeks I've been doing it! I'm hoping to start shooting something other than my children (Ha!) they're just so easy and cute to photograph but to grow as a photographer I need different subjects. So next week will be a change!

My 365 Week 3

Days 15-22 Learning to keep my camera with me has been a challenge but this week it was easier. I want to document everything with this challenge so I think I over-shot. Especially compared to the first two weeks. There's so much that's going on in this season of my life that its hard to put it all in one frame a day. So I'm hoping this blog will be an outlet for me to post it all; all the details; all the things I never want to forget. I saw a fellow photographer post her self portraits of motherhood this week and it inspired me to get into the frame a few times. Emmalynn started dance (and was crushed she didn't have a skirt or tutu) Kennedy was sick, grumpy, and cried.. A LOT. But we visited friends and had a wonderful week. I'm loving this project and the growth I've made. Thank you all for following along.
