KiwiCo Subscription January

This is a first for my blog! I'm writing this post all about the KiwiCo subscription box. For everyone who doesn't know what this company is (I didn't until a few weeks ago) go check it out now!
https://www.kiwico.com
It is a subscription company for kids; they send your child age appropriate activities that you can do together. I saw another mom post about it with a free trial code so I thought I'd give it a try and I am pleasantly surprised at how much me and the girls loved their boxes!
Full disclosure: we have not even finished the boxes yet! I am writing this post after only doing a few of the activities, because I loved them that much! I'm sure I'll write a separate blog after we finish the next two activities.

First up: the Koala crate. This crate is designed for 3-4 year olds. It includes all the materials needed for the actives, with easy to follow instructions, a parents guide (filled with tips and tricks for learning), Imagine magazine (a magazine for your child), and access to some online activities.

Right away Emmalynn was obsessed with the magazine (if you know her, she LOVES getting mail) so just getting this box in the mail made her day. The first thing she did was make her rainbow pillow and was SO proud of it. She said it was the "perfect decoration for her nugget couch" HA! Then I showed her the rest of the activities and told her we would be doing them in the coming days. The next day she chose to make the rainbow bag. At first I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure if she would be able to use the dropper or lay the paper nicely but I was surprised and impressed! The bag is drying right now and she keeps "checking on it" and can't wait to play with it.
She still has a stained glass art to make tomorrow but I am sure she will love making that too!

Kennedy got her own box as well!
She got the Cricket crate designed for 0-2 year olds. It included the materials for 2 activities, along with a book, and a parents guide! The book was about a little cricket who makes a salad and came along with the recipe and shopping tips to do with your child while at the grocery store (I look forward to doing this with Kennedy, I think she will like it)
The box itself turned into a stove that had working wooden knobs with flame pictures to show heat (it is really cute) along with a bowl and two spatulas for some pretend play, Kennedy's favorite.
So far we made the box, played with the pretend utensils, and read the book. Tomorrow we plan to make the strawberry scented play-doh that came along in the box. And I will give an update on that, but I have high hopes for it.
